Women's Self Defense Classes in North Vancouver
This program is not meant to prepare an individual for sports competition but is solely about attaining survival skills. Although the odds of needing to physically defend yourself are probably slim, the risks are too high to gamble on what could be a difference between life and death. In this program, the student will work on delivering powerful strikes, hand-eye coordination, and techniques necessary to survive real life attack situations. There are many programs out there for self-defense which claim you can take a three month course and be fully capable of defending yourself, but this is not the case. The ability comes from years of consistent training making the techniques second nature which can then be executed without hesitation. Equally as important is fitness, which is a major focus of this program and a key factor in surviving an attack. Consequently, this is another reason why short self-defense programs are ineffective. Fitness is a life-long commitment but is worthwhile for obvious reasons and although there is no guarantee a technique will always work on an attacker, our program can equip you with the knowledge and capability to give you the best chance possible.
Our Self Defense class is fun and exciting, while also preparing women to feel safe and confident in their daily routines. We are located in North Vancouver at 840 West 15th Street, but we are literally 10 minutes from West Vancouver City Center, making us a very attractive destination for all North Shore residents.
